I was seriously wondering this while I was at work yesterday. I mean, it was one of the launch titles of the last console generation, but this generation is was only seen on the Wii. The Wii! It showcased the game style that was going to be capable for the years to come, simple yet so much fun. And yet, nowhere to be seen now. I personally blame the introduction of ski’s, as that ruined the game play mechanic of the game in my opinion.
There hasn’t even been a snowboarding game like SSX in the past years if i recall correctly. Be sure to point out if there were any to me so I can check them out. SSX was nothing but pure fun. It had imaginative characters, especially for a sports related game in the era of EA Sports Big, and simple game controls that amounted to loads of mind blowing combos. With each iteration (up to On Tour), it kept getting better and better with SSX 3 being the pinnacle that the series would reach in my own personal opinion.
If only EA Sports or any other game company would games like this, instead of pushing for more advanced, prettier series…
